I don't know if this should be in boats or electronics, so stuck it here. I just got a new boat and have a couple trim gauges laying around That I picked up at a dealer auction some years ago.They have no wiring directions with them and I just wondered what all I'd need to install one in the new boat and if anyone new the wiring for a trim gauge?

What brand?I just installed one in my boat,with a Mercury harness.With Mercury,brown/white is the trim which is hooked up to S on the gauge.Purple is 12v,and is hooked up to I and L on the gauge..Black is ground,and goes to G on the gauge.

I have a mercury motor also. Thanks. I'll give it a try.
