Pete,
Are you going to Long Pond tommorrow (Friday 3/01)?
I will probably be taking a 1/2 day off from work. I will
be getting there around 1:00 - 1:30. Where should I concentrate
on fishing or doesn't it matter? Went there the other day
(not to fish just in area) and there seemed to be most people
at the west end. Hope to see you there.

Yes Rick Long Pond Rochester. From what I've heard the perch fishing has been pretty hot last few days. Pete a.k.a. Eyedoktr has been fishing it quite regularly I guess and was wondering if he was going tommorrow.

Rich, yup, I plan on going when I get out of work (2:30ish). I've fished every day for the last week and it seems that the afternoon bite has been the best by far. It seems that they have really begun to bite around 3:30-4:00 and continue until dark. The last three days have been brutal with the strong wind blowing right in your face. Hopefully today will be a little calmer. Spikes, mousies and minnows have all been working. See ya there. As far as where to fish, the west end is better normally but not too close to the end. The others there will give you a good idea by where they are.

Rick, you still have to weed through some small ones but there are some big ones showing up. I generally only keep them if they're 9" or more and usually end up with 15-20 with no problem. My biggest this week was 1.5# (on a scale, not estimate)and a good number right around a pound. See ya there. I drive a blue Jeep Liberty.

Great Pete, see ya there. I drive red Chevy S10 with "WELD4" liscence
plate. Wind expecting to be around 15 MPH out of WSW.

Rick,
Have never fished Seneca but have heard all good reports about slob perch and big pike in early May. Keep me posted on the fishing there would like to give it a shot this year
