: Humminbird 1197c Navionics Help

I have just bought an 1197c and cannot get this unit to read my Navionics chart as well as my Lowrance LXC-27c did. I have the both the Great Lakes and Canada Hot Maps charts.

Both units display the contour lines in the water, but the Humminbird will not display much depth information on the map while the Lowrance shows depths on almost all contour lines. I am using the same map cards in both units.

Does the Lowrance just do a better job of this? Both map cards are new for this year.

Has anyone else noticed this?

If you mean you want to see the sounding numbers, hit the menu button twice, right or left click to the "CHART" menu tab. Then click with your down arrow to "SPOT SOUNDINGS".
Change the option from "Hidden" to "Visible".
I'm not sure this is what you mean though, and I'm still learning how to use all the options in mine too!

To do the above, you might have to have the unit in "Advanced User Mode".

Get to that through Menu/Menu/Setup/User Mode... set from "Normal" to "Advanced"

This solution worked perfectly, thank you so much!
