I am going to lake Brennan, Ontario the first week of August. I have never fished this lake, does anyone have any pointers, or has anyone been there. I have fished a couple different fly in lodges and have always had success finding alot of smaller fish with jigs on bottom. I am new to the walleye world and would love any pointers on finding the larger fish. Do i fish day or night, troll or cast, top or bottom, etc.

Do what you can to find a bottom contour lake map, and take at least a portable depth finder with you.

Fish any underwater humps or underwater islands that rise to about 20-25 foot depth. If yoiu can't do either of the above, get yourself a google earth sat view of the lake to see where the shoreline changes dramatically. Fish the areas of greatest change coupled with current (if any).

More on this upon request.

I'm curious how you did at Brennan. I fished the lake in early May last year. Only time I fished it. Tough going at first but we ended up doing well. No trophies, but we did get walleye up to 26" - a few pike in the upper 30's. Late ice-out last year didn't help.
