I am also an owner of your video and thank for the great information in that. I first fished with the 3 ways when we used to fish with Mark Dorn back when he still ran West Shore resort and employed these on his launches. In the last few years however, I have decide to do away with the dropper on the 3 way rigs. I now tie a small snap to my main line, clipping that to my bell sinker, and tie all my long leaders with a small snap as well, so that i can just attach them to the bell sinker also. Am i missing something? Maybe there is an advantage to the dropper that i have missed. I havent notice any more fish in the boat since i started doing this, but i still wonder. It just seemed to me like a little less hardware. I believe i have compensated for the lack of dropper length.
