Are the mayfair livewell/bilge pump cartridges interchangeable? Can you replace a 500 gph cartridge with a 750 etc or are the pumps and housing different?

They are interchangeable.

They are but..... They have had a change in design. If you have the old style and go to the new style there is a change in the hose hook up. Minor, no problem.
