Just wanted to resurrect this thread from the old forum http://www.walleyecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118645
As WalleyeGuide posted, there will be a joint demo day hosted by Mercury Marine and Mertens Titan Tiller steering, on Lake Delavan WI Sunday Aug 10th, 8am-5pm. Come and try your hand at a 150 Verado and a 175 ProXS, both equipped with the powered Big Tillers, as well as my 75 Opti getting the Titan (non-powered) system installed on it that morning.
Thanks all, HRG :howdy:

I had the pleasure of viewing the new WC 21 @ the Walleyes Un. meeting in Fox Lk. Il. on 7/30/08. Wow - What a Rig - Appears to be extremely well built and thought out, with a lot of unique features, that the big name builders don't seem to have ! Also, this boat was tricked out to the MAX ( rigging wise ) by Frank from Rock River Marine. It is a Must See - When I got home last nite, I checked the lump under my mattress to see how long it will be until I can move UP!! JP

Hot Runr Guy,
I talked with Frank last evening at a Demo the WU club had and he indicated Tim was planning an install on your motor.
I run a 90 Etec with a Titan system and once you get moving and feel the difference you will really appreciate what it allow you to do.
Of all the items we install on our rigs this is by far one of the best for us tiller guys.
Good Luck,
walleyejohn

WalleyeJohn,
Thanks for the wishes. Too bad I didn't know about the meeting, I'd have liked to see you guys and attend one of the WU get-togethers. But, noooooooooo, I was painting a bathroom (LOL!).

Pete, by any chance are you going to stop by at this next weekend? I've got a couple of prop nut retainers for the 60 I found, might as well give them to you.
Thanks

Any feedback on this event? I heard via the grape vine that about 150 people attended. Seems like a goodly number of people interested in this setup.
Did Frank run his 150 as part of the demo?

I think Frank or Tim Merten may have taken a head count, not sure. Frank had his 20' Weldcraft/175 ProXS Opti there, as well as Dave Duwes' matching rig but w/a 150 Verado tiller. I had my 75 Opti/Titan Lund Explorer, and Frank also had a 75 4S/Titan combo on an Alumacraft 175 Navigator in the water. But no doubt, the most attention was paid to the 2 big HP boats. Tim Merten and his crew installed a Titan system on a guys Lund/Yammi that he brought over from Iowa, and I think another one was scheduled to be done.
We had a great day for it, and I'll tell you what, the folks from the Lake Delevan community park/launch really run a well-organized operation.

I was there for the event and it was very well organized and very well run by the folks at Rock River Marine and the Lake Delavan people as well. The weather was perfect and it was fun hopping in Franks monster of a boat. Thanks guys for putting on such a fine event.
