I've had an X-15 for a few years, and have noticed when I'm fishing in soft bottom areas (i.e. mud) I can't get a decent reading from the unit...Lately it will just blink all day, and never lock bottom...when I move into hard bottom areas (i.e. rocks/reefs) it reads perfect....I've tried playing with sensitivity, and all that stuff but can't seem to get it worked out...Any suggesstions?

I'm thinking possibly a transducer problem, but can't understand why it would read as good as it does in only ceartin areas.

You didn't happen to recently update your software? I only ask as it seems alot of people have the problem you are having when they do so.

If so the easy fix would be to re install the old version.
