Have extreme smoking when not under load. Had it checked out quickly before recent fishing trip (first time out of storage) and shop could not see anything wrong with the oil/fuel adjustments and wanted me to run it for the trip and see if it straightened out. It ran ok but continued to smoke much more than usual at low rpm. This problem has been coming on for a few years. Strange thing was with motor trimmed up a little idling away from dock, it did not smoke and when trimmed down would immediately start smoking again. Have always run amsoil and it was run long enough to get the fogging oil burned off.

Stabil has a tendency to smoke more and stink a little, did you use any stabil? Might just go away with the next tank or so, also seafoam has the tendency to blow a little more smoke out of a motor. Not sure why is smokes more when trimmed down, maybe because there is more load on the motor...

The gas does have Seafoam in it. Engine is a 2 stroke not a 4 stroke. Will eliminate seafoam and see if it clears up over time before putting in storage again. Seems to run fine except for the smoking at low level rpm.
