Those with the merc smartcraft gage, is there anyway to adjust the gallons used mode. Mine is iaccurate as ****. last fill up says I used 24 gallons, when I pumped her full, it had taken ALL 31 GALLONS the tank would hold. It seems to me this is unacceptable for accuracy. It also makes me wonder about the other modes like total engine hours, rpm's, etc... Anyone else experience this. Any way to adjust this right. Also should this be covered by warranty. My motot is an 2007 115 optimax.

Hmmm...
My understanding is..... fuel used is measured in the amount that has flowed to the motor. (ECM does it)...
Your fuel tank capacitiy has to be set properly...and it sounds like maybe it isn't.
Got your manual...?
See "CAL 1" and "CAL 2"
It'll tell you how to calibrate everything.

I just zero the gallons used each time I fill up. That way I know how much I have used out of that 45 gal tank. It is very accurate and has worked well for me.
Take care,

Jim, that's what I do too, but my gallons used is much less than what I end up pumping in.

Have you established a pattern of this error? Or, does the possibility exist that someone is siphoning fuel out of your boat tank? I believe that the motor has the flow-measuring device under the cowl, since it sounds like your having other issues with your motor, I'd have the dealer look at the fuel used reading on his DDT terminal, and compare them to what your system monitor readings have been. I've combed thru the monitor manual, and while there is a procedure to calibrate the tank level readings, I see nothing that refers to the fuel-used readings taken from the motor data.

T-mac, my boat is at the shop right now, but when I get it back maybe I can call you and you can walk me thru it.
Thanks for the help.
