The time out last week my digital speedometer stuck at 35 MPH. Today all the speedometer showed was a - (dash) All other functions on the display worked but no reading on the speedometer. Is there a pick up port or tube that is plugged and if so where should I look and how can I clean? Thanks for the help in advance.

With 44 hits I am surprised that someone has not answered but I found my problem today.

I tilted the engine to the max with it turned to the left and found a pick up hole on the transom side of the lower unit, just above the shaft housing for the prop, remember the hole is on the backside of the lower unit.

I took a 1/16 drill bit by hand and removed the material. It was either wood or weed material. A small amount of water drained out and I expect the speedometer will work next time out.
