Happened this am. Is this something that just seems to happen, bad hub ect. Or something I could've prevented?? Prop was installed correctly.

Those things happen just take it to a good prop shop and they can re hub it good as new just be sure you follow their break in process.

CJB ~ Is the prop in good shape or has it tapped bottom some?

Prop is in good shape, you can look inside the hub and see where the rubber seperated 360 around the hub splines.

That's good CJB! :) ...another possible issue that I see are Bass & I-Boats pulling tubes n' skiiers this time of year/Aug, which puts alot of torque on a speed prop...

I swapped props with a gentleman over on BBC. He said it was sitting in his shop for the last 2 years, mighta had sumthin to do with it. He picked up the bill to get it re-hubbed, nice honest, standup guy.

Mercury has a solid (metal) hub that fits alot of props. But not much in the way of protection against hitting objects. If your pulling skiers often this will work well.
