I just bought a Ranger 620 with a yammy f250 on it and I'm having trouble with the boat porpoising, along with weak hole shot. I curently am running a 23p. vmax prop. Would a 21p. lazer help? The issue with porpoising is with the trim almost all the way down.There are a ton of similar set ups out there, and I would love to hear how other guys are set up as far as what props and pitch your using. That's the wrong prop for that boat. Is the prop Ranger tested, they wanted speed, that's what you'll get with the 23. I use a Yamaha Pro Series 21M, this is the prop that works for me.

Just a thought, but motor height has a lot to do with porposing. I also have excessive porposing with my Triton 215X. I can minimize it by not keeping my motor too high.

I run this setup and am using a Yamaha 21 Saltwater seriesII and am very happy and have no porpoising issues. 56MPH at 6000rpms. Outboard is mounting bottom hole or highest setting.
