Does anyone out there have a Triumph Boat? They are literally made of plastic and appear to be indestructable. If you do have one, how do you like it and what model is it with motor? Thank You!!!

Not totally indestructible: http://www.thehulltruth.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=162330&start=1&highlight=triumph&highlightmode=1

Jump on over to http://www.thehulltruth.com and do a search. Lots of info about this brand on that website. Mostly good stuff.

I looked at them years ago and seem to remember they are very heavy for their size. I could be mistaken and times may have changed.

...and was not impressed by the build quality. Exterior finish was very dull in spots, shiny in others, and had many visible ripples looking down the sides and bottom. I pushed on the sides at 1 foot intervals from bow to stern and found what I felt was excessive flexing compared to conventional glass construction. Plus, as noted by another poster here- it was very heavy for it's size and apparent stiffness.

I looked at these boats as well, I tested one out in Sturgeon Bay,
21 ft CC.

It rode well, but seemed to have a hollow feel to it, also it lacked overall fishing room for the size of the boat.

I went with the 23' ProLine Dual console instead.

I don't think they are laid out well for a walleye boat.
Fact is, they aren't designed to be a walleye boat.
When I looked at them a few years back (they wanted us to be a dealer) there was no good way to hang a kicker on the boat...for example.
You'd never get the geometry right..even if you used some kind of bracket.

Now I look....and I still don't see that happening on these boats.

Thank You for all the replies. Have done a large amount of research about these boats and it seems they are really geared for the intercoastal and ocean fishing. They did make a 'bass' line a couple years ago but looks like they have discontinued these lines. Back to looking at Ranger, Stratos and a couple others!!
