Last week we were up on out annual trip to Canada and experienced problems with the foot pedal on a Power drive unit.

I did a search on the forum and could not find any issues like I have.

Issue is when running the motor the steering seems to work OK but the On / Off , Mom switch does not work all the time. I will have the power all the way up on 10 and it will work full power.

I wll need to switch off the Mom swithc and lower the power level to stop the motor.

If I start out at 10 and lower the speed it will work going 7, 8 or 9, but not lower.

Can I get a replacement foot pedal for the unit and how much are they? Can this be fixed.

I have had the motor for a while and it has been working fine. It is a 12 volt 36 poind thrust model

The are around 68 dollars. Just bought one recently. I bought mine locally, but you can order one through Cabelas.

Likely just needs some cleaning. You can do that yourself if your careful when your taking it apart. Use some of that spray electic cleaner. If it does not work you haven't loss anything. Like the above poster said you can buy a new one.

Will try to see if cleaning will help

If not then I will order a new one
