Two weeks ago the Mobridge paper said the lake was up 20 feet in the last two years. Lots of trees in the water along the shortline. Thee clarity of the water seems normal. Hoping to get up there again for trip #7 this weekend if I can get a decent report.

Good fishing there a week ago. Launched out of Bush's and still found fish north of the ramp. It should be worth the trip.

I'll be there this weekend. Some BIG fish being caught in the Akaska area, at least they came into that ramp.

Those of you fishing Oahe, has anyone been having any success live baiting or have we reached the time of year that only cranks produce consistently? The reports I have been getting have been of crankbait bites in deeper water. Some have been using lead to get down to 25-30 FOW with jointed shad raps.
As for the Akaska area, I had heard that bigger fish were coming in; but, again, it was on crank baits.

thanks everyone,we are headed up the 20th, I had heard that people were catching fish throughout the lake but the water levels on the Missouri from ND were low so I assumed the best fishing would be in the Cheyenne.

Fished out of Cow Creek Saturday. Live bait was pretty slow. First time I fished that area so it could of been me. Fish were biting VERY lightly, you had to get them on first nibble, 20 to 35 FOW. Still some nice fish and/or limits being taken on cranks, but thats something I just can't get into even though I have all the equipment. Fish we did keep were 15.5" to 18" and still in great shape. Come on fall.
