I have posted some unusual questions on this site and never fail to get a satisfactory answer. Here's a dandy: When I was in the Navy (50s),we had SOS (---- on a shingle) on toast for breakfast. It was a form of hamburger gravy but not the milky, white kind most of you would be familiar with. This stuff was similar but had tomatoes in it. Do any of you ex military have such a recipe?
