Gang, help me out here, my son is hunting now. His bow is at 45 lbs., and he is very accurate. I purchased 75 Grain heads last year, what is the consenses on what might be the best broadhead/weight to use?-thanks.

100 grain are fine, stick with a 1 1/16" to 1 1/8" blade size. The G5 Striker is an amazing head that is sharp right out of the pack, it is what my son uses at 45 to 50 lbs and he has 2 shot 4 deer the last 2 years.

I would probably have to agree with "fish". I am a Muzzy man myself, but with some of the lower poundage bows out there...you might be better off with a cut on contact head. When I say "some" of the lower poundage bows...there are some bows set a 40 lbs that shoot incredibly fast. I would say your best bet would be a broadhead around 100 grains and more importantly that shoots good. If the bow is fast..don't worry about the brand, just whatever shoots good.

Thanks for the help gang! He ran it through the chrono @ 170 fps. I looked on the web for some info & it showed that being acceptable. He's getting stronger the more he shoots, so I,m hoping to get it to 200fps. He is accurate & knows where to hit the game, so that is always the most important.
