I just bought a Lund Fisherman 1800 and backing up in my garage I realize that the windshield is a bit too high by at least 8in.
I don't mind leaving the boat outside on the season but for winter I would like to put it inside. For the Lund expert: is it a pain in the b... to remove the full windshield and it is prone to leak after?
Thanks for the answers

The windshield is removable by removing the composite material trim located across the bottom of the windshield, then removing the attaching machine screws (there are nuts on the bottom) and the interior support braces. Reinstallation is not too bad a job either and leakage should not be an issue. Just don't know that you'll want to be doing that on an annual basis.

Just some random thoughts - if you unhooked from the tow vehicle
and cranked the tongue jack all the way down (lower the hitch)
and push it in - would that give you enough room?
Crazy idea #2: We bought some "car dollies" one time to move antique
cars around in tight quarters... if you took off your trailer wheels and
let it down on the hubs into these, I bet it'd fit - they are very low
profile.

If you are putting this in a garage with an automatic garage door opener, unhook the garage door from the automatic opener. This should give you another 6 inches of clearance at least. I have had to do this a few times.
Andre,
The easy long term solution for your problem is to remove the windshield and sell it.
No windshield, no problem.
Also, with no windshield, you will have much improved visibility.
Yes, you will get a bit of wind in your face, but you will have no vibration problems, no other windshield related problems.
Take care

Maybe long term solution would be replace the garage door with an 8 footer if you have a 9 foot ceiling in garage already. Gives you the option to use garage any time and no hassles every time you want to go in for storage.

I agree with the "alternative" methods - lower tongue, deflate and cart wheels, etc. I won't give up my windshield and removing it every year will cause problems down the line - "Murphy's Law" - I can GUARANDANG-TEE IT!!!

Ranger,
Consider checking out the height of the wall that houses the door and the respective header. If you have the clearance to install an 8 foot high door, it can be done fairly easily.

I can't argue that - you are right :) but I was under the impression that Andre didn't have that option. Your suggestion is "right there" as long as he has the height to place a larger door!! Otherwise........................

Thank you all for you're suggestions. I will look at that later this week and let you know.

Sounds like you may be backing up an incline....to get that much height.

Yesterday I tried and no way I will have to remove the windshield; I took out about 6 in. of the vinyl or rubber strip on the bottom and I think it won't be that difficult to remove the window.
