Just moved to a 21 Contender from a Ranger 620T, most (99%) of my fishing done on great lakes and mostly at Erie. I am in need of an autopilot system for this boat. All I want is a basic system that I can set and be able to get away from the steering wheel without going off course. I don't need to have it tied into my gps or anything like that. Just like a Minn Kota AP80 would do. Can anyone steer me in the right direction on this (no pun intended). As always thanks for your help.

Simrad ap14 is the best I have used. If you have hydrolic steering you need the ap14h or for cable steer the ap14r. The ap12 is the same basic unit without the diplay.
