I had a minor mishap earlier this year. I was launching at an electric only lake. I backed in half way, tied the bow rope to the dock and backed in to drift the boat off the trailer. SNAP!!!! OK it was rather emabrassing but the boat didn't go far and was retrieved by a couple guys coming in for the day. The one guy was nice enough to hold my boat at the dock to let me go park. The guide bunk caught the keel protector. Oops!!! That part of the Keel protector was pulled away slightly. yesterday the bottom 3 feet or so are are hanging loose when I pulled the boat out of the water.

Can this be reglued to the boat. What glue is recomended? Am I looking at a replacement?

Thanks, Rich

I used 2-part epoxy on mine and it has held up fine for a couple years. Make sure the hull is clean and the keel guard dry, and use floor jacks to put pressure on the freshly glued part of the keel guard...I think I did this for 24 hrs.

Yes, it can be reglued. I had a similar issue, dealer installed it WAY crooked, terrible. So when it was at the manufacturer for work over the winter I had them peel and reglue. My understanding was they used some sort of 2 part adhesive.
