Just checked the LEI extras web site and find that the "GPS module for the LCX-15/16 WAAS capable" is now available for a small charge of $269.00 :(

Wow! Thats a deal HAHA!
Why is it so much?
I'm under the impression that this replaces the GPS LCG-12S antenna or do you need to run both?
$269 more for WAAS, that is painful. I already have close to $1000 in the X15mt, can't see spending that much more for a few more feet of accuracy, at least not right now, lol.
There is still no software update posted on the Lowrance web site, been on 2.10 since last July. Has to be a software update before WAAS is going to work. My understanding is the new antenna will replace the old one.
LGC-12W Part # 112-06 $269.00
GPS module for the LCX-15MT, LCX-15CI, LCX-16CI, GlobalMap 3000, LMS-240, and the GlobalMap 2400. WAAS Capable.
Works with: GlobalMap 2400, GlobalMap 3000, LCX-15CI, LCX-15CT, LCX-15MT, LCX-16CI, LMS-240
I inquired to Lowrance about upgradeing my X-15mt to WAAS capability and received the following response.
Thank you for your inquiry. There will be an upgrade kit available sometime
in April. It will involve both hardware and software. Yes, there will be a
charge for the kit, but there is no pricing set at this time.

Has anyone heard if the new units with WAAS are in stores yet?

The WAAS GPS receiver is currently available for the I-Finder and LMS 240 units. WAAS-enabled versions of the LCX and GlobalMap series will not be available until sometime in April.
The price listed for the WAAS receiver is the same as the current non-WAAS receiver so it appears there will not be a difference in price.
There is no pricing yet for an upgrade for current users. Both the new receiver and a software upgrade will be required for an existing unit to become WAAS-enabled.

Yes, one unit will be the master with the antenna connected. The two units can be connected through the NMEA wiring within the power cord.
FYI - if you are not using the NMEA wiring on the GPS unit, make sure that the wires are not touching each other. Even Lowrance couldn't figure out why my 3000 MT was getting "GPS Module Not Responding" errors when I talked to service a couple of times.
