I am looking at getting a Panther 435 to mount my T8 to. If I were to go to a Panther bracket with remote tilt/trim what advantages would that give me? My T8 has power trim/tilt. Do they make a remote "kit" for the T8 that will allow me to kill the engine and or start it? I already have a Trollmaster and the remote kill/remote start along with the remote tilt/trim would give me everything remote.

Do you need a bracket? What boat? The only thing I know of for remote on and off is a autopilot system. How old of a T8? It may be possible to turn that engine to a remote rather than a tiller.

It is a Chaparral 1830 SS. It is a bowrider. I would be interested in finding out how to change the engine to a remote. And yes I do need a new bracket.

With tilt on the T8 you probably do not need the Panther 35 w/ lift. It would bring the motor up too far and risk spilling oil or hitting the transom with the hood. We have rigged lots of boats with the Panther 435 and have never had one fail. They make great products. What year is your T8?

I am not home this week, but I think that it is a 1994 T8. Can I convert it to remote controls?

My books are not showing a T8 in 1994 only a T9.9 or a 2 stroke 8hp. Either way it does not look like you can convert.
