I have been searching and reading as much as I can and I am more confused now then ever. I have a chance at a 2003 Tracker Tundra team boat, but I am hearing different conclusions on the quality and service of Tracker. I will not be using this boat in 4'-8' rough water like some people. I have heard and read some of the horror stories (Terroreyes) with the tracker tundra. I have had a tracker service rep say to stay way from any 2003. I know that the pro is trying to sell the sponsors brand of boats, but I want to hear from in the real world if this is a boat that I should consider or is there that much of a problem with the transom and hull to look else where? This is not a thread to say, which boat should I get. I just want to know if there were any problems with the 2003 tundra boats and if this is something that I should consider.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks,

Jon

After hearing reports posted by prervous owners and a service rep.for the mfg'er of the boat, what more do you need? I would say forget that boat!

But I do hear a lot of people that love the boat and would recommend one. I am in business for myself, so I know that typically you hear more from the complaints than you do about the good stories.

I know Terroreyes personally as he lives close to me and we hang out together.

The stories of his boat are true. I haven been with him throughout is struggles with thier warranty dept.

He did finally get a new boat from Tracker, and its been perfect. But I would stay away from that vintage Tundra you are looking at. The newer models have been changed, I have inspected his new one and the transom design is different and very nice now.

If you dont believe me, open up one of the very rear compartments and look how the transom is built and supported. I think you will see what I mean.

Ok! I have a 2007 Tundra 18 DC that I have potential to buy. The boat is brand new from a private individual and has never been in the water, but it is missing some of the standard features. So structurally this would be a much better boat than the 2003? Do you lose a lot of room going from the 18 to the 21? It has been sale for some time. What would you give them for a price?

How does the 18' take a kicker? I see the 21' has a seperate tank for a kicker, so where do you put the gas tank for the kicker on the 18'?

I am no expert on this boat so I cant even begin to answer things like how much to offer, etc.

All I can say is what I already did. His replacement boat is a 21ft, its a fine boat, I think its a 2007 or 06. I can ask if you want.

I cant address the 18fters since he did not have one and I dont know if they had the same issue or not. I dont know if this was common with the 21fters either. All I can tell you is what I saw on his boat.
