What's the best mapping chip for Leech Lake? I 'm having a hard time choosing between 2008 MN LakeMaster for my Lowrance LCX-27 or Navionics Premium North for my Humminbird 957c. Thanks in advance for any opinions!

I'm using the Premium 07 chip in my LCX38. Seems to be "on" for the most part. I just bought a Lakemaster paper map for the waypoints. When I plugged in some of their waypoints, they were way off.

Lakemaster can zoom in closer and has one foot contours. I have both and have used both. The only time I use Navionics now is when the lake is not on the Lakemaster or I'm out of state.

Love my Lakemaster 08 chip for Leach. Seems real close for accuracy with the 1' contours. I also have the Navionics but prefer the LM.

Just as an FYI.....
For a huge percentage of the existing 'current' Lowrance product, you can download an update that allows one to zoom in with Navionics at the same rate as the other guys.

If you have questions if your plotter can do this, you can e-mail me a lcarr at navionics dot com and I will get you the info personally. Or check out the Lowrance web site under the download section to see if there is an update available. See this url:
