Hey all,

I am in Canada today fishing this morning when I activated my Minnkota Autopilot it was making a clicking sound about every couple of seconds. There doesn't seem to be any other problems with the motor. Any help would be appreciated !

The clicking is normal. Its making slight corrections to the course you set. Even if the prop is not turning.

I wasn't doing that before and has not done it since it I had the motor.

Do you have a copilot control on the motor? If so, the copilot can be set up to give the ticking sound, lets you know the motor is running. They also beep when changing speeds. If you do have the copilot, you may have inadvertantly activated the ticking sound by pressing 2 buttons at the same time. I don't have my copilot manual handy, but I believe you push 2 buttons at the same time, and that allows you to set up or remove the ticking. Maybe someone with a manual can give the proper steps to stop the ticking.

Was your sonar on at the time? Could be the transducer clicking.

Pressing the two buttons cleared up the clicking, I think I had the problem because we have had a lot of rain. Thanks all !!!
