My wife and I were in Gladstone Michigan over the 4th of July. We had our dogs there in competition and I realized we were by Little Bay de noc. I have never fished here but we'd like to give it a try this fall. So my question is this...how to fish the area? Good Guides in the area? When in fall? Any help would be great. We live 5 blocks from the lake here in Port Washington but to be honest I hate salmon. So I'd love to try the bay! Thanks Dave

We fish LBDN every year in the fall. Great time, great people. One of the best guides out there is Capt. Ken Lee, first class, hard working friendly guy. We stay at his place called the Sal-Mar in Rapid River.

I live in Iron Mountain and I would agree on Capt Ken. He is one of the best guides for the bay. A friend of mine went out with him and had great success. You can check out www.sallmarresort.com for fishing reports on the bay. Capt Ken post his reports good and bad for his trips.

Most definitely Captain Ken Lee. We have been out with him twice. He will work his tail off to put you on fish, Super nice guy. Call 906-474-6918 to set up your charter.

Another option is join a fishing club. There are a couple of good clubs in the Milwaukee area that have outings up in LBDN in Nov. You can learn a ton from club members at a fraction of the cost of a guide.
I have fished up there in late fall, for over 10 years. I only live about 8 miles south of you. Send me a message for any info on these clubs or possibly sharing a ride in my boat.

Jon ... I am in SE WI also. Which clubs are you referring to? I should get into one.

I am a member of Walleyes Unlimited. There is also another great club by the name of Okauchee Fishing Club. Both clubs have outings in LBDN in the fall. There are some awesome and very knowledgeable fisherman, from Wisconsin and Illinois, in both of these clubs.
