Just wondering how a 619 with a 200hpdi would perform? How much smaller is the back end of a 619 than a 620? Ride about the same? ----------TIA

I have a 2008 619 with a 225 ProXS 4 blade 21pitch SS. I am getting about 57GPS with 2 people gear and 1/2 tank of gas. I think a 3 blade would give me more top end, but the 4 gives me great hole shot, and works very well in heavy waves.

Interesting. I have a buddy who has an older 619. I am not sure what year. I THINK it is a 1999 which he bought used in 2004. He has a same-model-year 200 hp Evinrude on it (was that the Ficht model?).

He tops out at 46 mph. Kicker, bow TM, NOT tons of gear. 2 people. Full live well. No wind. Gas tank 1/4 full.

Not sure what prop.

He is disappointed in that top end. He says he is sure the engine has all the updates on it. It hasn't given him a problem, but he isn't real happy with that top speed.

If you guys are all getting into the 50's GPS, then I can see why he feels that way.

mine is a 00 w/motor of same vintage. that speed was on my gps and my partners handheld as well.I did not have a bowmont on the boat at that time I think that gave more lift.My partner also has a 619 w/200 opti [2002] I have seen his hit 58 on more than 1 time...also a 21p tempest.

Just ordered a Tempest Plus 3 blade 21 pitch. I plan on putting it on after my Canada trip (Friday). Talking with another 619 owner he is getting 60 MPH on his GPS with this prop on a 225 ProXS. I will post later how I do, also as my motor just has 12 hours I will see how my Revolution 21 pitch now does.

Revoulution will be 1.5 miles slower than the tempest

I ran both the 21 Tempest and a 21 Rev 4 on my 621 with 250 XS. The tempest is a fast prop but that's all it is, not to much lift and the ride isn't all that great, I actually hated the way the boat ran, handled and drove. The 21 Rev 4 is the prop I run now, it's great out of the hole, awesome in rough water and doesn't blow out no matter what conditions, the tempest was losing grip while going into 3 fters, I did lose a couple on the top end but I'm okay with that since it's a beast in any conditions.

03 619 with 200hdpi running 48-50mph. I have a 23 pitch yamaha s/s prop that speed is with full tank, 2 people, gear, kicker, and bow mount. I am running at 6200 rpm book says 4500-5500 for max. Sounds like I'm a little slow compared to some of you. Suggestions please!!

Try a 21p 3 blade tempest?

Try a 21p 3 blade tempest?

If he is running a 23 pitch and over reving the motor I would think he should go up in pitch to get those rpms back down into that 4500-5500 range.I wonder if he is not getting a lot of slip causing the high rpms and low speed compared to others.

Going to try a yamaha vmax 25pitch prop. Just confused why everyone here with the same boat&motor are running the 21 and getting good results. Does anyone have a 619 that runs anything larger than a 21 besides me?? Thanks

I would check the tach for accuracy.
Are you shooting a huge rooster tail?
Your numbers indicate very high amount of prop slipppage.

What would cause the sliping? Prop bad? Boat gets on plain very quick. I am getting a rooster tail when trimmed up at top speed. Before buying new or used prop may'be take her in for a check up!

Has the prop been damaged?
Been repaired or rebuilt?
Have you ground or filed any dings out of it?
Any of these can quickly lower the pitch rating of any prop.

Just got off the phone with a prop mech. sounds like prop is bad. Says 23 pitch should be good would not go any higher. Going to try Lazer 2 tommorow at his shop. Thanks for all the help and suggestions learned alot in 24hrs about props!!!

Maybe motor is up to high, jack plt, wrong holes.I could mesure mine 4u but I have a few different variables ie.prop, motor, year class.
