Can anyone tell me how to change a backup light ( round white light) on my 2008 tandem-axle Ranger Trailer?? I took the light off and it seems as if the small light bulb is part of the whole housing. Does the small bulb pull out? Or, do I need to buy a whole new housing (see a Ranger dealer?). Thanks.

I can't help you there but I do know mine blew out..dealer fixed it 3 weeks later it's out again, same one. grrr. I thought these where supposed to be better than the older trailers, I never once replaced a light on my 03 trailer.
They are sending me a bulb so I need to know the answer to your question as well.

My dealer just replaced one on my trailer. I did not see him do it, so I do not know how to change the the bulb. Can you call your dealer and ask them? I did find out that the back-up light used to be sealed, now they are not. I was going to look into sealing mine somehow.
I had my 1850 at Ranger a couple of months ago. You replace the whole light. They did it it the parking lot for me. Side light on the trailer.

But the 2008 Ranger trailer I had to see. My lights havent went out yet and hope they dont apparently. Want to add DONT wax your Ranger trailer if you dont already know. Last time I waxed my Ranger, I thought I might as well hit the trailer. Geesh, now I been scrubbing and scrubbing and scrubbing to get that dang white film off. The paint they use like a chip guard isnt supposed to be waxed apparently. Anyone else find out the hard way and what did you use to get the mess off? Sorry ST. Croix, hope you get the lights fixed.

By the time I got done waxing my boat last year I was to lazy to wax the trailer, good thing I didn't thanks for the heads up. I fish alot, the dunking and pulling gets is washed enough.

As others stated, the reverse light is one assembly (at least think of it that way), simply 3 screws to change it (and obvious wire disconnect/re-connect).
For what it's worth- One of mine was defective, leaking from factory. I exchanged about a half dozen of them last year as every one leaked. On the last one, I silicone the back of the assembly where the wires come through and it has not leaked. Possibly just coincidental I got a good light but more likely than not a bad batch of them not getting adequate sealant.
