Crane Lake Info

Hi, this is a new guy. We'll be headed to Crane Lake the first of October for a week. We'll be bringing a boat and have lodging arranged. I would appreciate any tips on general locations to fish while there. We'll be staying on this side of the border. Walleye are great, lake trout sound fun, and whatever else. Maybe we should just fish Crane Lake? Thanks for any help, I'll check back tomorrow.

I haven't fished Crane Lake, but in most places, the lake trout season is closed in the fall, as that is when they spawn.
