Is anyone familiar with the Lowrance water temperature sensor that is mounted thru the hull in Rangers and how it can be removed and replaced? I have one that started flashing 32 deg out of the blue and don't understand why. It worked on the previous trip but as soon as I fired it up on the last outing it was flashing. It's connected to the lowrancenet network in the boat. Thanks.

I am guessing your boat is newer then 2006 so open the access panel in the splash well and look straight down and you will see the sensor with the wire on it . This is a thru hull sensor and it should be easy to take out. Are you sure it's bad and do you get the same readings on your trolling motor unit?
Yes, it's a 2007 model and has the thru-hull temp sensor. I found a photo of it on LEI-extras website to get an idea of how it's mounted and secured. Appears to be mounted from the outside and the cable threaded through the hole. Then a large nut is threaded on the inside and it pulls tight to seal it off.
The only problem I see is that the battery charger is mounted above the bilge area and it could be a pain to get at.
The temperature reading flashes on both graphs and when I browse the network there is no temp sensor listed as there was previously.

Low,
FWIW, I have the same problem with my temp too on my 2007 619. However, I also mounted an external transducer with a temp guage. The internal and external transducer are switched at the dash and hooked into my lowrance 113. I've had temp readings from both the thru hull temp and external transducer from 32 to 110 degrees when I know the water temp is in the 70's. I haven't had the time to trouble shoot the problem. I find it hard to believe that both my internal temp and the temp gauge on my external transducer are bad. Could it be that there is some thing wrong with my 113 and your depth finder?
Unfortunately, I'm not going to get back on the water for a few weeks to check it out again.

I had the same problem with my 332C. It was the T connector under the dash. Try wiggling the wires under the dash to see if you can get it to come back on. If so, you can replace the T connector. Linda Colt at Lowrance will send you one if that is the problem.

Check and see if it is recognized in your nema network. I am not sure if this is the exact way, but here goes. Go to soanar set-up and go to advance settings and click on nema and see if the temp is there. If not, add it in and you should be okay. If this doesn't work, call lowrance and they can walk you thru this procedure as mine has flashed 32 degrees a couple of times. Hope this helps, Jim
One of the first things I tried was to go into the network set up menu but nothing is listed except the GPS puck. I'm heading out fishing tomorrow morning and didn't want to take the dash cover off (tiller) to get at the T-connectors to check those. I may give it a shot when I get back later.
