I have a 2004 Lund 1800 Explorer SS with a single console. Well, the helm cap has started some cracking, so I took some pictures of the effected areas, and emailed them to Eric at Rapid Sport Marine. I got an email back in about 4 hours and he told me that Lund would replace the cap, no charge. That is the kind of service that keeps me a loyal Lund owner. Super service from both Lund and Rapid Sport Marine in Ham Lake, Mn......:bowdown:

Those 2 guys you were guiding for last weekend at the GTG must really be hard on equipment! I just had a similiar experience with the folks at Shoreland'r trailers, great to know that customer service is still alive and well out there.

I think I remember this being a known problem with some consoles/boats. Been over 2 years since I replaced my Lund, but this sounds familiar...

The console caps are built by an OEM supplier.
They make caps for many boat brands.
But the warranty on them varies from boat brand to boat brand.
