Frank Hyla "Time on the Water" fishing show, told me Lowrance has been sold. Is this true? He thought it was, but was not totally sure. I hate to hear that. Lots of times when a company is sold the new company looks for ways to save money. One of them being making a cheaper product.

Vexilar bought them. The deal took place today in bloomington mn.

There are no press releases on either Navico's or Vexilar's websites. Any way to confirm this? Given the decrease in quality since Navico's takeover, maybe this is a good thing

I agree - may be a very, very good thing - and nice to think that it is transfering back from a foriegn owned holding group to a Mineapolis based company.

Cobra buy's Lowrance

Under the agreement, which has been approved by the boards of directors of both companies, Cobra will begin a tender offer no later than Jan. 16 for Lowrance's common stock. Stockholders owning 54.3 percent of Lowrance's outstanding shares of common stock have entered into agreements to tender their shares.

The final article in the agreement was that Lowrance would fix my lcx-111c

I just talked to a company official....
Navico is still the owner of Lowrance. It has not been sold.
