Does anyone have these?

Do you like them?

Do they cause any problems?

Thanks in advance,

Mexico

Mexico,
I have been using them for approx 3 seasons- work great and no problems. I first learned about them here at WC and informed the Lund dealer..I ordered and installed myself (very easliy), when they recieved their order, I believe they sold over 30 units, and from then on installed on new rigs.

Hope this helps...

Steve

Lund's Freshwater Pickup

Reno I thought Lund had a freshwater pick-up built-in to their hull on the bottom of their boats.

If so what would be the benefit of installing one of these Survivor Live-well pickups in the after market on an existing boat unless it was an older boat that did not have this built in feature, or for a dealer to install this product on any new Lund boat?

Where can a guy see one of these "Survivor Livewell Pickups"?

I googled it but could not find.

Thanks!

I see how it works.
But that must mean you always have water in the livewell.
Can you shut it off from inside the boat?
Thanks, Kliph :)

My rig is an 02, and did not have a freshwater pickup...my main reason for installing was to solve the problem of air locks (especially in the front livewell)...I found the product right here on WC...

How far below the boat you have the cup decides the water pressure to the livewell. Each livewell has different valves and length of tubing so you have to adjust each one for each boat. I want enough water pressure (with boat on plane) so that it allows the live well pump to pump water and but not fill the livewell with the pump off. Your fish get less abuse in a full livewell in rough water. This device makes money for tournament angers as we lose money for dead fish. Robert supplied me with 2 a few years ago and I just move them boat to boat. I have one on the baitwell and livewell. My minnows like freshwater!

If any of you want to buy one, I have one for sale. It does not fit on my Yar-Craft the way the livewell intakes are set up. I didn't look before I bought it. You can email me if you are interested.

The new lunds for the last few years have built in freshwater pickup, why would the dealer be installing on new boats??

I have an 2008 Pro Guide and it does not have the fresh water pick up on it. Lund probably has it on selected models only. Just a guess.
