Triton 215X has two 24 V trolling motors, but bow REALLY needs to be 36V. Front is MinnKota Maxxum and rear has Navigator (BTW I hate this thing). Questions:
1) Can this even be done
2) Please explain the battery hookups for putting 2 batteries in series AND 3 batteries in series (im sure this is already on WC if I'd search, but thought I'd ask.
3) If it can be done, how would I hook up the wires that go to the bow different from the ones going to the transom?
Hope I'm being clear here. If not let me know
Thanks

1) Yes, with a jumper cable like this shows

2) Answered above
3) The diagram above shows how you'd connect to your front TM. The wiring to the transom TM would be from the 1st battery and the 2nd battery not the 3rd and since you'd be removing the jumper between the 2nd and 3rd battery, when you wanted only 24V, you'd completely isolate that battery and only be able to output 24V.

I'm not sure what kind of plugs/receptacles Triton is using, but I'd use a simple 2-wire system, running 1 set of leads to the bow-mount, and a separate set to the transom. Here is a sketch, in this case both motors have a black lead coming off the (far right) negative terminal, the 24V transom has it's positive lead off the middle battery, the 36V bow has it's positive lead from the (far left) positive terminal.

Note:
All of the posts are correct.
Be aware, that it is likely that the two batteries going to the 24 volt motor will get discharged at a different rate, than the single added battery going to the 36 volt motor. i.e. unless the 24 volt motor is not used during the time that the 36 volt motor.
If you have a 3 or 4 bank on board charger - where each bank charges each battery individually - you will have a non issue. i.e. the on board charger will take care of different % discharge on the individual batteries.
Take care

The front plug in on a 215 should be wired for both 24 and 36 volts. Check to see if there are three wires to the front plug in. if there are it`s wired for both. Wiredog

Nebrwalleye,
As a side note, this season I upgraded from 24 volt to 36 volt. I had a Minnkota servive guy rewire my 80# 24 volt Maxxum to a 36 volt 101 for under $200. Far cheaper than selling my used unit, and buying a new one. Something you may want to look into.
