I have a Lund WC-16 and am looking to buy a small Yamaha that will be used mainly for trolling and as the main motor. Previously had a four-stroke Yamaha 15 but it trolled too fast. Considering the Yamaha F8,F9.9, or the T-8. I am not looking to set any speed records-trolling is the emphasis. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a T-8 on a heavy glass boat. Trolls like a champ. Top speed is just over 6mph

Kenny...
As a long time Yamaha dealer I am pretty sure that you do NOT want the T-8 for what you are doing.
For a kicker it is awesome...but it is geared lower and has a large prop for pushing big heavy loads.
6mph is about top speed whether on a big boat or a little one.
Plus the T-8 is much more expensive than an F series Yamaha of same hp.
Get the F-9.9 or even the F-8 for use as the only engine on a small boat like yours.
This is what the F series is designed for. They will troll a small baot great...yet push it much faster than the T series.

If you buy the T series it would be like buying a 4x4 Truck that only had low range.
