Co Angler David Anderson Wins the 2008 FLW Championship!
The Co Angler hot seat changed hands a couple of times, but David Anderson had Tommy Skarlis as a pro today, and Tommy made sure they had a great weight when they weighed in.
David only had to wait out two other teams before being named the Champion, so he didn't have to sweat it out too long, before he was handed the check for $15,000.00!
Tommy and David brought in 15.13 pounds to the scales today to secure the win for David and to give Tommy a slight cushion going into tomorrow's final round.
Only the pros will fish tomorrow, and it's still anyone's tournament to win.
This body of water can be fickle. You can bring in the big basket one day and then next she gives up only a couple little keepers.
The weather that was supposed to show up today seems to have waited until this evening to show up. The chance of showers and thunderstorms looks to be building in the skies as I type this, but should be clearing out by tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow's weather is forecasted to be:
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 70. East wind between 7 and 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Tommy's traveling partner, Ross Grothe, is in second place right now with 14.3 pounds.
Robert Blosser is in third place only two ounces behind Ross with 14.1
The rest of the best are:
4th: Todd Frank/12.15 pounds
5th: Ted Takasaki/12.06 pounds
6th: Chris Gilman/12.2 pounds
7th: Tom Keenan/10.14 pounds
8th: Joe Okada/8.12 pounds
9th: Todd Riley/7.11 pounds
10th: Brett King/7.6 pounds
Co Anglers in the order of their finish are:
2nd: Del Ringling
3rd: Nate Brunz
4th: Patrick Bertlesen
5th: Dick Wherry
6th: Scott Woodward
7th: Boyd Strissel
8th: Fred Gordon
9th: Terry Etzkorn
10th: Cal Van Cleve
