Can anybody tell me where I can find info on what an outboard motor is worth?
I am thinking of buying: 1974 Johnson 2 horsepower Model 2R74, built in gas tank
Thanks!

When I have used NADA before, "low" and "average" meant as follows (I assume it still does but I didn't check this for sure so you might want to explore the site yourself) --
Low Retail means the item might be in parts and need work. Average retail means it works well and needs no work. If the item is in great shape, it can bring a much higher price.
Nice little motor for a canoe and the like. I had a similar motor on a canoe a long time ago. It's probably worth $100-$200 if in real good shape. I think it cost about $300 new back then.

I sold a similiar motor last summer, it was 1975 2hp Evinrude. I used ebay and did a search on what they were selling for. In good running condition they were selling on avg. for $150. Mine sold for $165.
They are nice little motors, mine was a solid runner. I used it on a square back canoe and then a little 12' jon. Wasn't a speed demon but got me from A-B.
