I need to install a new 3 bank charger. Is it possible to splice to the existing leads for my starting battery or do I have to route new leads.

Slicing in the leads will be just fine. Depending on where the batteries and chargers are there is a good chance that at least on lead has to be spliced anyhow. Make sure you use high quality butt connectors that are also shrinkwrapped for a non-corrosive connection.

In my boat, any time I splice a wire, I solder the connection. Other that solder, moisture can sneak in and ruin the connection. Just my opinion.
