I see that the 2009 line-up is out there. Did the drop the "Classic" series.
I thought that was a decent boat for those on a limited budget.

I think what they did was drop the "Classic" name and expand the Rebel/RebelXL lineup. I don't have the 2008 & 2009 catalogs in front of me, but I think you'll find the "Classics" still exist, but with a different name. I am glad to see that they relocated some of the side livewells up forward, to help with balance and weight distribution. From what I understand, the 1625 Rebel XL SS was a big seller in the Lund line last year, so it looks like they are expanding that line.

The "Classic" models are not in the 2009 Aluminum catalog by that name.
Perhaps as HRG says they are supplanted by the Rebel and/or other models.

The Rebels have taken over that price slot.
Very similar to the Classic line, but with improvements.
The familiar name "Rebel" goes back a long ways with Lund.
They wanted to revive it, I suppose?

Maybe is the dealer that I was dealing with..........2006 when quoted both Explorer and Classic in the 16ft......boat price is a few hundred more for the Classic over the Explorer......one of the reasons that I moved on to Explorer1600.

I do see they have added a Rebel 1725 and 1825 which may turn out to be big sellers for Lund. Buyers looking for a 18ft in that price range may have found their dream rig.
Do wish Lund hand more web info on colors for the Glass boats. "See your Lund dealer for other options" is not convenient for all customers when you have to drive an hour to "see your Lund dealer".

Why did Lund ever drop the Mr Pike in 08 ? I have a 05 17 Mr Pike with a Suzuki 140, and I can not find anything wrong with the Mr Pike, I enjoy mine allot.

My dealer said that the Mr. Pike line was discontinued due to the fact that they ere taking sales away from the Pro V line.

Naw...they weren't selling well.
Heck, they don't care WHICH Lund you buy....;)
That's why they offer so many models and make lots of changes.
I was on the dealer council every year until I retired (this year).
We voted on what got dropped and what got kept.
Determining factor was sales...always.

Why did they drop the fishermen series then a year later bring it back? I waited a year to get mine instead of paying extra for a tyee. More options for my boat with the money i saved. thank you lund:rock-on:

Because they added some features to...and changed the Fisherman into the new "TYEE".
Then many dealers complained because customers (and many dealers) wanted a more spartan version of the same hulls. (Less standard features).
So they came back out with "Fisherman" .

Regarding the Mr. Pike line.
The line was most likely taken out with because of the changes to the Explorer line. If you look at the new Explorer line form 08, there are many changes that make the Explorer more like the Mr Pike. I guess they figured (why have two similar boats in the lineup).

Just an FYI, there are some other model catalogs on the Lund site available for download.

I have a 2007 Tyee love it . The one thing I never liked about the fisherman model was they didn't have the double riveted seems but to call it the new fisherman seems odd since it cost a heck of a lot more. lol

All Lunds have double riveted seams, even the A-12.
