Nov 15 - Saturday - Rod Builders Workshop
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Wickiup Hill
Come and learn about rodbuilding with many masters of the art form from throughout the Midwest. We are arranging a variety of topics including the Morton system of guide placement by Doug Nauman, epoxy marbling by Ron Walters, a roundtable discussion of “Why to build a custom rod”, how to build a six sided presentation box by Mark Blabaum, basic tiger wraps / simple tools by Steve Cox, and "how to make crosswraps" by Scott Kleppe. The meeting is free to anyone interested in rodbuilding from beginners to professionals and all should leave with new thoughts and ideas on how to build better fishing rods. We will take a good will donation to cover food expenses. We will be drawing for a number of door prizes during the day. For more information, please contact Chuck at (319) 892-6485.
