Welcome aboard Rick! You've found the best place available to gather info on every aspect of walleye fishing. I've been hitting this site for a long time and have found some very knowledgeable and helpful people here. I've also met and made friends with several people from this site. I'm not from N/E PA, but I'm not far from you. I'm just up Rt 81 near Binghamton. I do a lot of local river fishing this time of year. Come summer, I'll be hitting Oneida in between hauling the big boat out to Erie as often as possible. Feel free to drop me a note if you'd like, but you can probably learn all you'll need to know right here by searching the archives and asking questions. I see you've started in the right direction. A copy of Precision Trolling is a must if you plan on taking this game seriously. Again..Welcome & Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)..jstack5478@aol.com

I'm west of you (Potter County where there are more deer than people and I do my best to run em all over!) I do all my fishing in NY though. Mostly Chautauqua and east basin of Erie. Drop me an email if I can help you out on any of these spots or you are interested in riding along.

Hi,
Family has a farm in Halmin PA, 5 miles from Pack. I spend some time up there but most of my eye fishing is on lake ontario. If you would like to hook up for a weekend let me know and we can fish. It is all night fishing. JJ

Rick-
I am in your backyard, Bangor(hardly knew her). I have fished Wallenpaupack for 'eyes and never had much luck, but could not complain about the perch and pike. I have been going to the Black River, NY and Lake Ontario for the past 4 years in May and do fairly well, and looking forward to this year for night trolling there, as that is the one thing I have not done well with there. There is supposed to be good walleye fishing in the north section of the Delaware River by Milford, but I have not tried that yet, as I am concerned about the water level and my skegs and props. I fished Pymatuning Reservoir last fall, and did not do well, and was told that the fishing was off, along with having the wrong colored blade baits by a conservation officer. I will be going there again this spring, along with Erie. I am by far no pro, but I give it a good shot. E-mail address, shadownose@rcn.com, maybe we can "hook up" for a day.

Thanks All: for dropping me a line.
Right now I'm in Kosovo and will not be home untill end of May.
Just ordered a new Scout 185 SF which I'll be picking up in June.
Fished the River for mostly SmallMouths with my 16' boat, now that I'll have a bigger boat I want to start hitting the bigger lakes
like the Pack,Harveys,Onidea,Seneca,Beltsville,Ontario, and of course Black Lake NY. Never did any serious trolling for Walleye, Stripers or Lake Trout but that's about to change. Really picked up a lot of great information on Walleye Central...been to many other sites
and get a little turned off by the ( my boat is better then yours
and your fishfinder sucks ) mentality. We really got a Good Thing
going here, I know this will be the first place I turn to if I have any questions.
Once Again Thanks for Replying, I'll give a yell when I get back
to good old PA. maybe we can get together and hunt up some Walleye's

I'm up around the kinzua area and here is how to keep your live well full of eyeballs.

Winter: Downtown Pittsburgh, launch at the south side ramp. Lots of Sauger and a few decent eyeballs.

Early spring(april & May) Pymatuning fast action lots of fillets

June: Allegheny Res. great fishing some nice fish. Takes a little bit of know how. Pages Sporting Goods will steer you towards them.(814)726-7475.

July: Chautauqua Lake this bite is awesome. Alot of big fish.
We've caught Multiple limits in a day between 2 fellers. put them back of course , mostly.

August: Lake Erie out of Dunkirk.Nomore needs said.
Have fun
