Hi...
The blizzard kept me from making the drive into Chicago Saturday for the annual Walleye Masters Institute. They had a great line-up of speakers and I was sorry the weather kept me away. I was wondering how it came off? Can those who attended let me know?
Thanks!

Scott it was great as usual. The speakers were very entertaining. Mike gofron had a great demonstration on fireline or not to fireline. Had a great time with Scott Golden after the day waiting for the snow to stop. My hat's off to Mike and Ted for another great day of info and prizes.

Thanks! I was indeed there in spirit. I suppose they showed my buttcrack again during the presentation on Anderson's Lodge, too! I want to steal that slide of Mike's. By the way, I went there last September with a friend after winnming the trip at the WMI 2001 and it was fantastic as always.
Any more comments?

Snow kept me away also. Kind of like fishing, sometimes it's just better to stay off the lake.

Admit it... You guys missed me in Chicago... Especially because Rhett and I never won any good prizes that required additional trips to Canada or extra freight shipments home.... lol (The best $10 we've ever spent on raffle tickets - well maybe a little more than 10)
Hope to see you guys next year after the U of Minn stamps me "Ready for PhD" It really is time to eat at Charlie Trotter's and tease Mike Norris again.

Hi Guys,
I am not familiar with this. What is it and how do I get on the mailing list for it? It sounds like a good thing.

Anyone wanting information on the Walleye Master's Institute can go to the articles and tips swection here at Walleye Central and go to Ted Takasaki's page. There is information still there on this yea's. Watch Walleye Central for next year's lineup. It is usually posted in fall.
Pooch, where in Central Illinois are you? I am in Bloomington.
Thanks for the feedback? Sounds like it was great as usual. Anyone else?

Another great year. Cant think of a better way to spend a snow day!
My brother ended up winning the aquaview, after he woke up and looked at his ticket... he was half a second away from losing it! I walked away with some cool toys, and as always, more knowledge.

Scott,
Your famed butt crack photo was not on display this year. Mike's presentation was different. Everyone's presentation was more than exceptable. As is usually the case, most needed more time than allocated.
Mr Golden wins the comedian of the year award. He started out scared but came on strong. Ted's presentation on bobbers was as complete a lesson as anyone would ever need. No one likes fishing for neutral or negative fish, but we all have a tactic to use if it becomes necessary.
I must be learning something because my notes continue to get smaller each year. I suppose they might be a little to good as teaching.
The ability to ask these gentlemen questions make this a must do for anyone who has doubts about their techniques.

Great, I am glad the photo was gone and the institute was a success. They needed to use a wide angle to catch it all. See you next year!
