My Merc is a 96 XR6 150hp. My tach and volt meter were not working properly. I installed a new rectifier/regulator. The tach now works perfect. My question is this. For the most part the volt meter works perfect to. I am guessing perfect is putting out 14 volts. But many time my volt meter reads 18 volts. Is this too high or is this normal?
