GPS SA relaxed soon?

A fellow worker told me that he read (I don't recall where) that the Government was going to lift the restictions on the "SA" (selective availibility) for civilian use of GPS, making it more accurate. He thought it was to be effective sometime in August and the accuracy was to be approximately 30 feet. Has anyone else heard or read anything resembling this?

Actually, the SA was removed May 1. You may need to reset some of your waypoints though. LOL Fred

Yes it has already been removed and the increased accuracy is amazing. I marked some brush piles in a nearby lake several weeks ago after the SA was removed and went back to that lake yesterday. My waypoints on my Garmin 12 almost put me right on top the the brushpiles.
