I have 2 LXC25 units on my boat. One of my units on the GPS map page shows the distance in miles. The other one shows the distance in nm. How do I change this to miles so they are both the same. I read the manual and went under the set-up screen and the distance is set for miles. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I also have them hooked up on the NEMA2000 network. I noticed that when I make a icon on one unit the icon will not appear on the other unit. But when I make a waypoint on one unit the waypoint will show up on the other. Perhaps you can not share icons on these units. Also I have not updated the software on these is has what can from the factory.
Thanks

You may want to contact Linda Colt if this does not work.

If you are running version 1.6, DON'T update your software. You will not be happy. There is a place in system set up to change units of measure.

Do a Soft reset.
LCX 25C Reset
1. Turn unit OFF
2. Press and hold the PAGES key
3. Press and hold the PWR key
4. Release both buttons when the USA map
appears
Soft Reset (Does not delete GPS Data)

The updates are a touchy subject. It seams like they come out before they are ready. I treat them as wine, they get better with age.Or go back to an older one that worked just fine. Let them know if something does not work like it did in a prior update.
They do seam to better today as we know how to contact them quicker than in the pastto understand.

I strongly recommend to NOT update the software from 1.6. I have done it twice and each time revert back to 1.6 as my unit had trouble finding depths in various conditions. Each time I went back to 1.6, it has worked like it should with no problems.
It appears to work but it just doesn't when you get weedy or a little shallow...loses bottom and can never seem to lock in.
Lowrance doesn't seem to think it much of a problem as they cannot fix it. They said they were going to send me a copy of 1.6 about 2 months ago and I never got it from them so I got some help from someone on this site.

When 2 Lowrance units are networked they will share way points but they will not share icons.
To get the one unit to show distance in Statute miles look under gps set up not sysytem or sonar set up. I dont have my unit in front of me but it is a simple menu choice.
And lastly contrary to what you hear somtimes trust the technology and stay current with software updates.
