I have a 2003 Evinrude 135 HP injection motor on my boat that recently started to have gas come from the exhaust. It accumulates around the back of my boat at idle and/or when I am at low speed. The motor runs perfectly, starts quick, other than when the throtle is first moved to get on plane, there is a slight bobble. Does anyone out there no what causes this problem?

Are you referring to the little rainbow in the water when you are at idle? If so, this is normal for a carbed or EFI 2 stroke, but not normal for a fict of e-tec. Perhaps its running a little rich at idle.

I agree the mixture seems to be very rich at idle. There is a lot of gas on the water surface right up against and behind my boat. I would like to know if this is something I can adjust or will I have to take it to a dealer?
