Its time to change the oil on my T8. This is my first time. The drain is the plug on the left side, half way down the cowling, correct?

thats right it is very simple to change but make sure you do not overfill, or it will run like crap..

Thanks, it states on top of the engine .8 oz. Half a quart. One more thing. I have a 150 merc, and when I change the lower unit lube, I have an attachment that screws into the lower hole, so I can fill from the bottom. Will this same attachment work on the T8 or do I need some other attachment.

8 oz. equals half of a pint, not half of a quart

that might be .8 liters. Mine takes just under a quart to fill.

OOPS, your right, half a pint. I must have been using the NEW math.

I use the same attachment to fill my 150 Yamaha and T-8 lower unit.

Right, Tom Fellegy.
The poster should simply pick up a Yamaha end for his T-8
