A RAM mount is very handy for Bow mount or dash installs. The lighter version is plenty heavy for the Vexilar head units.

The Vex Pro mount is good if dash height and space is an issue, than use a set so you can transport it from the dash to the bow as needed.

Do you have any pictures of your set up? I was wondering how I could rig it up, any suggestions.

Everyone's individual preferences will dictate location, so I recommend you try to get a feel for the spot you wish it, and than decide what mounts work best.

With the RAM, inside the gunel often is good as than you can pivit it upwerds or downwerds to store and it will not get in the way of a cover. Right/left/center, really depends on how you fish and what type of bow mount trolling motor or other gear is up there too.

If a trolling motor secure mount is also a consideration, than RAM has a great trolling motor mount for that too. It can also be configured with an optional 3-way ball to also mount the Vexilar. That way if it is useful for you to do so, it is all in one area, likely to your left as you face the bow, on the same mount.

Lots of option, you just need to sit up there and get the feel of what works for you personally.
