need help. can i replace stator on my 1999 115mercury 2plus2 outboard. i well buy a flywheel remover tool . or is it to complicated for me to do. i am a little mechanically inclined. thanks :banghead:

no one is able to give me some advice. iam trying too save money and do it my self if i can

You will need a flywheel puller made for a mercury outboard , the stator (I would suggest a rebuilt from REPAIR or some other reputable online supplyer ) will come with some instruction but the wiring is a harness .pretty much a bolt on the opposite of what you took off. perhaps you can get a repair guy to take the flywheel off for you. I did it on a friends 125 seveal years ago I was able to borrow the puller from a buddy
